EMCCV is free to use for personal projects. The SailorXv3 module is fan-made content and cannot be used commercially. We provide the tool "as is" with no guarantees. Be nice, don't break things, and have fun creating!
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using EMCCV (Extendable Modular Creative Concept Visualizer), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
Description of Service
EMCCV is a free web-based character design tool that allows you to create and customize characters using modular visual elements. The service is provided at no cost for personal use.
License to Use EMCCV
We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use EMCCV for personal, non-commercial purposes. This means you can:
- Create character designs for your personal projects
- Export and save your creations
- Share your designs on social media, portfolios, and fan communities
- Use EMCCV for educational or learning purposes
Content Ownership and Licensing
Your Creations
You own the specific character designs you create using EMCCV. However, the underlying visual assets (artwork, graphics, templates) remain the property of their respective creators.
Module-Specific Licenses
SailorXv3 Module - Important Restrictions
Personal use only. The SailorXv3 module contains fan-made content inspired by copyrighted characters. This module is:
- ✅ Free for personal use - Fan art, personal projects, portfolios, social media
- ❌ NOT available for commercial use - You cannot sell products, services, or content created with this module
- ❌ Not licensed for merchandise - No t-shirts, prints, stickers, or other products for sale
- ❌ Not licensed for commercial projects - No games, apps, books, or media for profit
This module is a passion project from fans for fans. Respect the original creators and the fan community by keeping it non-commercial.
Future Modules
Future modules may have different licensing terms. Always check the specific license for each module you use.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use EMCCV responsibly and legally. You will NOT:
- Use the service for any illegal purposes
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or exploit the service
- Use automated tools to scrape or download content in bulk
- Overload or disrupt the service infrastructure
- Create content that is hateful, abusive, or violates others' rights
- Claim that content created with EMCCV modules is entirely your original work
- Remove or obscure any copyright notices or watermarks (if present)
No Warranty - "As Is" Service
EMCCV is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. This means:
- We don't guarantee the service will always be available or error-free
- We don't guarantee your data won't be lost (back up your work!)
- We don't guarantee compatibility with all browsers or devices
- We are not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from your use of EMCCV
Important: Always save and back up your work. Since data is stored in your browser's localStorage, clearing your browser data will delete your creations.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EMCCV and its creator shall not be liable for any:
- Loss of data, work, or creations
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Legal issues arising from improper use of created content
Your use of EMCCV is at your own risk.
Changes to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
- Add, remove, or modify features and modules
- Introduce premium features or subscription services
- Change these Terms of Service with notice to users
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but we are not obligated to do so.
Premium Features (Future)
We plan to introduce optional premium features (cloud storage, sync, advanced tools) in the future. These will:
- Be entirely optional - the free version will remain available
- Have separate terms and pricing clearly disclosed
- Require separate acceptance of payment terms
The free version of EMCCV will always remain free for personal use.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to EMCCV at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the service at any time by simply closing the application.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
EMCCV respects intellectual property rights. If you believe any content in EMCCV infringes your copyright, please contact us at support@emccv.com.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EMCCV and its creator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your commercial use of content not licensed for commercial use
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany (where the service is operated), without regard to conflict of law principles.
